My thoughts on recent stuff ...

Probably the most interesting news this week is about the new Taiwanese group called 'Bing Qi Lin Shao Nu Zu' ... although this might sound like some awesome drug it does infact mean 'Ice cream musume'.
The group consists of 6 girls with names I can barely even pronounce ... to make things a little easier Ive taken the liberty of giving them all nicknames (in the bold text), if Tsunku wants to use them he can do so at the right price

Wú Sī Xuán (wu wu)


Zhōng An Qí (kiwi)


Céng Dé Píng (ping pong)


Zhào "LightBulb" Guó Róng (rong dongs)


Lán Ai Zi (erm ... zi-zoo)

They all look kinda cute and after looking through some of their videos they certainly show alot of potential ... but lets keep in mind that Tsunku chose the girls so no doubt they must have some talent .. who the hell am I to question Tsunku???
So anyway I was looking through the videos of them all and I came across this (no not like that) ... ladies and gentleman may I introduce to you Yun Yun! she's bendy! she's 12 years old! and she's singing a song about her ass!



Did you notice the lyrics when the camera showed Tsunku?



What you gon' do wit all that breast?
All that breast inside that shirt?

What indeed, I'm sure Tsunku will show us soon .. the perverted genius.

Anyway in other news Ogawa Mana (the girl from Canaria Club) has bought out a new single called 'Suppin Rock' ... I dont really know much about Ogawa other than she has some funky hair, and after listening to this single a few times I'm in total love with her voice, listen to her single below or watch the PV!







Yesterday I saw the most amazing picture ever ...
its like Risako is trying to ride her Saki bike!



AMAZING YES!!?

Evil Risako is killing Captain Saki while evil Momo stands there looking all evil and stuff, for those that don't know its from their stage play called 'Berryz VS Berryz' ... I just know this will be amazing.

Kappa Airi !!! ... how adorable is this photo? and wait ... its about to get more awesome .. you can buy that costume! its called a 'Kigurumi' and retails for ¥7,500 ($76)

It's Buono! ... but not as we know it

I think its safe to say that is one of the most catchiest and addictive Buono! songs yet, its really hard to get the 'rotarra rotarra' out my head.
But this video seems really quite different to anything they have done before.
The PV is comprised of 3 sections, a dance shot, a close up, and close to the end a 'free cam' shot that gets up close and personal, nothing special or exciting really.
What really makes this video different is that this seems to be the first Buono! video that has no story line or gimmick, we dont even get to see Momoko doing something dorky or goofy, whats that all about?
And another HUGE difference is the costumes ... its undeniable that all 3 girls look cute as hell ... but where in gods name are the punky pop girls I've grown to love? I dont see any straps, chains, tartan, badges or clothing with the word 'fuck' on, is this a new direction Buono! are taking? a cutesy 60's style unit? ... probably not but I find it kinda strange that they broke away from the usual codes and conventions that make Buono Buono! (that makes sense in my head).


Although I love all 3 girls I think that Airi really shines the brightest in this video, the big yellow bow in her hair is too adorable for words.


Momoko seems to have the most energy in this video, she's throwing herself about constantly, its a shame we see little action from her pinky, although if you watch the video in slow motion it can be seen at times sticking out.


Have I mentioned recently how good Miyabi is looking? I think she probably has one of the best hair styles in hello! project ... right next to Maimi.



During the video all the girls do the 'L' sign with there fingers, I'm 100% sure this means Love, aww.


Airi never fails to look cool and cute at the same time.


It's really good to see that Airi still has her cute fangs, we should enjoy them while we can just incase she gets a veneer like Risako did ... at least I think she did.


Like I've said previously we seem to see alot more leg exposure of late, these short hem lines are playing havoc with my heart and nose bleeds, Miyabi seems to have a natural ability of sticking her butt out, even more so than Momoko, wow.


I love the closing shot of this video, simple yet iconic.

Buono! - Rottara Rottara (preview)

Freshy ripped from the Shugo Chara Doki ending, here is Buonos 5th single 'Rottara Rottara'.
Although its only 1 minutes and 30 seconds you get a good feel of what the single is all about, its rocky, punchy and cutesy, I can't take it off repeat, the first parts of the song when the girls break and 'honto!?' and 'ehhh???' are pure WIN.

Buono! - Gachinko de Ikou!

What seemed like an eternity Buono's! latest video finally popped out onto the internets, I already had a good idea of what to expect anyway because I saw some preview videos and what not.
The PV quite predictably keeps up with its fresh pop pseudo punk style, while this video sticks to all the usual codes and conventions its interesting to note that there are some random females parading around with musical instruments ... I have no idea who the hell these girls are but they are kinda hot so if anyone knows who they are, tell me more ...
Like with previous Buono videos we are treated to some colorful quirky styles, 2 things that stand out for me is ...

1) Airi's hotpants (no explanation needed)



2) Miyabi, DAMN when did she get so hot? did this happen overnight? or have I just been totally blind to her looks? she's looking really sekshii, and her hair is just crazy and awesome at the same time, and speaking from experience girls always tend to do something drastic with their hair when they start a new relationship .... or end one, I'll leave that thought with you.

Why do I always enjoy it so much when the h!p girls wear suits and tie? I have no idea but the girls look super cute in them, Airi really pulls it off, throughout the video she's looking cool and calm, which is quite a different look for her considering most of the time she bouncing around making dorky sounds and eating pig heads.
Momoko has some pretty funny moments, she makes some really happy/crazy faces while playing cards, and it seems that part of the dance routine involves her using the special butt bash attack, you can see her quite clearly throwing her ass side to side.
The only thing that I didn't like about this video was that cheap and tacky buono pop up pirate thing at the end, it looked like it was made by a 5 year old ... yeah I know its a small point so I'll just be quiet now.

Suzuki Airi to star in TV drama

Seems like Airi's popularity keeps getting bigger and bigger.
She has been chosen to play Sakurada Junko in a drama called 'Aku Yuu Monogatari'.
Sakurada Junko is an old school j pop singer who started her career at the age of 15 back in 1973.
The drama is about the life of the famed songwriter Aku Yuu, its unclear at the moment if Airi will have any dialogue or acting parts, but she does has a singing role in it (see below).
Also appearing in this drama is Takahashi Ai and Risa Niigaki, they will be playing the roles of Mitsuyo and Keiko (aka 'the pink ladys).
I think its really cool that h!p girls get as much exposure as possible as it will increase the chances of them getting further roles outside of the h!p bubble.

The other video is Airi also singing 'Watashi no Aoi Tori' ... she looks so adorable its unreal, and she sounds great, I cant wait to see this drama.

Nose bleeds Ahoy!

I just cant seem to get enough of Airi Suzuki at the moment, maybe my interest has spiked because of her silly antics dressed as Kappa?



Or maybe its because I just downloaded her latest photobook 'Rokugatsu no Kajitsu'.
After a long shift at work I've just settled down with a few beers, so my eyes were in serious need of visual candy, and quite predictibly ... the photobook didnt disapoint ... not one bit.
Each page just overflows with adorable Airi, theres Seifukus, swimwear, silky nightwear, and even a cute beret, did I mention swimwear? oh good!
At the moment I have yet to place an order for her photobook due to financial reasons which I will chat about in a future post, but its definitely on my 'to buy list' amongst a zillion other h!p related things.

Airi's Classic in 60 seconds!

Before this dvd came out I was kinda confused, WHAT exactly was it? ... the title 'Airis Classic' is fairly vauge ... If I was in charge I would of called it 'Airi fails at mini-golf for 50 minutes'.
Thats right ... the whole video is dedicated to Airi playing mini-golf all by herself, some people would find that relatively tedious ... yet considering its Suzuki Airi ... its awesome, I could quite happily watch that girl cut her toenails, anything she does just drips with adoribility and win.
I spent the good part of an hour making screen caps of the videos best parts ... but then I thought sod it.
So since I havent made an OPV for a while I hope you might enjoy this ...
I called it 'Airi's Classic in 60 seconds!' ... I made it with some crappy windows program so it kept crashing on me >:( ... but I should be getting an imac soon so I should be able to make more in the furure.

A babble about Suzuki Airi

Suzuki Airi has always been one of my favorite idols within C-ute, she's probably second in line to the goddess Maimi.
Its recently been quite hard to ignore the girl as she has been alot more prominent in PV's and vocal shares, if you were to call her a 'line whore' you would be quite within your rights to do so ... considering she has such a adorable voice who cares if she hogs the lines?.
Airi started her idol career at the tender age of 9, now she is 14 years old so she has a good 5 years of 'idoldom' under her belt, its great to see her grow and develop her skills, it will be very interesting to see what direction she takes in the future, as I hate to say it ... one day C-ute will cease to exist ... and the girls that stand a strong chance of becoming solo vocalists are understandably Maimi and Airi ... with the chance of Nakajima Saki and Okai Chisato becoming a duo unit (how cool would that be?).
The past month Airi seems to of totally consumed me, it's probably to do with the fact of her antics on Berikyuu and the anticipation of her 3rd photobook entitled '6gatsu no Kajitsu' ... I intend to buy this photobook and her two previous books very shortly, I'm just looking forward to seeing some preview shots first.
An internet friend of mine made an off hand remark saying that she looked like an 'alien' and that she was 'freaky' ... that individual was promptly blocked from my MSN list for a good week or so.
